Engagement

Engagement is the third theme introduced to Step to College scholars. During this year of the program, scholars learn to recognize the difference between being partially or fully engaged in an activity, goal, or situation. At this stage of the program, it will be important for scholars to understand how to prioritize values, set strong boundaries with themselves and others, and recognize opportunities for growth. Many people understand the term “multitasking” but fail to recognize the challenges it brings with good habits such as staying in the present moment and mastering energy management.
